Launching The Site: RudyVaughn.com

Launching RudyVaughn.com

Finally, the day has arrived.  We have gone “LIVE” with our website after several years on a rollercoaster ride.  But now, RudyVaughn.com is up and running, and I’m happy that it is.

It’s funny when you think back on things and remember what you’ve gone through or experiences you’ve had that have lead you somewhere.  Some of those experiences seem so distant from the current “you” that it’s almost like they were experienced by somebody else.   Others still feel fresh as if they had happened yesterday, and maybe the rest fit somewhere nicely in-between.

I’m tempted to try and write down a summary of what I have gone through over the past few years, trials and tribulations, eventually arriving to this time, or even articulate the reasons why it’s personally significant to have launched a website.  But I don’t think I am going to do that today.  Instead I’m just going to say that today is a new day, fresh with possibility and promise.

And in addition, I want anybody who might be reading this to know who I am, and what I’m about.  My name is Rudy Vaughn.   But I don’t just want to be another guy with a website trying to promote himself.  I think the world is tired of that.

I am inviting you to join me on a journey.  The invitation is extended to you as far as you might be willing to go.

This world is a broken place.  We all know it.  We also know that there is a lot of good in it too.  And with your help, I hope to be able to bring something good into the world through music, film, social connection and charity.

We live in a new time, where the new frontier is one of idea and purpose.  CEOs are being replaced by the guy sitting in his underwear at his house with that billion-dollar idea.   Record companies are falling underneath the power of the auto-tuned cat on YouTube getting a 100 million views.  This time things are different.  This time it’s about people.  It’s about you.  It’s about us together.

I started looking at the world differently, and it started to change me.  I am going to be encouraging each one of you to keep in touch with me through this website, and also through Facebook and Twitter- and let’s begin to stand for something important, something good, something worth fighting for.
